Even if you are vigilant about sun protection today, your skin has a very good memory, and sun damage from years ago can still linger within your skin. Unfortunately, UV rays can alter the DNA of your cells, causing wrinkles, dark spots, and discoloration even years a bad burn.

Exfoliate– Proper, gentle exfoliation can help to lift damaged cells so that your body can replace them with new ones. After sun exposure, hydrate your skin with a microexfoliating masque. Masques such as Environ’s B-Active Sebumasque will absorb surface oils all while exfoliating and hydrating your parched skin.

Care for Dark Spots – You might love your tan now, but when the color begins to fade, dark spots can appear on your skin months or even year after exposure. Most dark spots won’t fade on their own, but because this type of sun damage is relatively close to the surface of your skin, they often respond well to treatment. Use a nourishing and conditioning treatment such as this AVST Gel. Loaded with vitamins and antioxidants, the gel will calm skin and sooth uneven skin tones.

Sunscreen– Just because you didn’t wear sunscreen earlier in your life, doesn’t mean that you can’t start today! Using a sunscreen daily is a great way to protect your face, neck and body from the sun’s damaging rays. Use a sunscreen such as RAD each day for healthy skin. The SPF 15 in RAD’s light cream will reflect the harsh sun away from your face, protecting your skin all while creating a healthy glow.

Age, sun, and time all play a role in creating wrinkles on your skin and body. As you age, your skin loses its ability to retain moisture, and the collagen and elastin deep in the skin break down, which can cause the appearance of your skin to change.

Body– To help tighten skin and create a firmer texture, try using a Body Profile gel. Environ’s gel is formulated to firm and condition the appearance of an uneven skin surface. Quick and easy to use, you can apply the gel under other body products.

Face– Instead of using multiple creams, use one all-in-one product such as Environ’s AVST5 cream. The moisturizer will help your skin retain its shape over time while peptides work to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Dry Skin

While many people suffer from dry skin in the winter, dry skin can also occur year-round. Heavy moisturizers may help, but can be uncomfortable to wear. Instead, choose a light moisturizer that does double duty!

Body– The non-toxic acids in Derma-Lac Lotion help to soften calloused skin on your elbows, knees, heels and feet. Plus, its Alpha Hydroxy Acids are great for calming uneven skin and soothing fine lines caused by sun damage.

Face– To prevent dry skin, wear a moisturizer each day. Try Alpha Day Lotion, which contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids to sooth fine lines. It doubles as an SPF 15 sunscreen, which will help protect your skin from the sun’s damaging rays.
